UEPOUT. GEKALDINE. Messrs J. Muadell aud Co. report sales for the week ended January 17th, 1890, as follows:At the Geraldiue yarda on Wednesday a moderate entry of stock was yarded, which met a really good market, although heavy rain fell durxng the sale, making it almost difficult, to proceed with business. Notwithstanding the disadvantage the buyers stuck to the auctioneers, and a satisfactory sale was the result. The numbers yarded were—29oo sheep, 73 head of cattle, and 45 pigs. Quotations are as follows, viz. : Shei^p—Crossbred ewes, fat, 9s, Bs, 6s; crossbred lambs, 10s 6d to 8s 2d ; crossbred wethers arid maiden ewes, 2 and 4-tootb, 10s od, 9* 9d, 8s sd, to 8s Id ; cull merino ewes, Is lid ; halfbred ewes and lambs, all counted, 6e 9d to 4s Bd.

Cattle—Fat cows sold -.veil at £3 7- 6d to £3 ss; store cows, £3 to £3 7s 6d ; steers and heifers, 2-year-olds, £2 15s, £2 ss, to £1 15s ;' yearling - steprs and heifer, £1 5s to £1; cowe ; in profit, £2 5s to £2. Pigs—Porkers, £1 ss, £1 2s, to £l ; swyU stores, 12s 6d, 12*, 9s. 7s 6d, to 7s, with strong demand.
