©eorge Barran, storekeeper, Blackwater, West Coast, committed suicide, by shooting himself on Monday morning. A report was circulated at Tenui, Mastertou, ©n Thursday last that a human skeleton was lying on the beach near Waimimi rocks, two miles north of the Whareama river. Constable Collerton proceeded to the place and found sand drifting away from an old Maori burying-ground, exposing a number of human remains
