London, Jan. 9. Mr Parnell has written to the Ennis Guardian, advising public bodies to treat Captain O'Shea's divorce action with contempt. He. says that the littleness of bis accuser is best shown by the ingratitude of his action. The Times has paid forty shillings into Court in satisfaction of Mr Parnell's claim for damages in the libel action. Jan. 10. The publication of a letter in the Ennis Guardian, signed by Mr Parnell, has been proved to be a hoax. Appearance has been entered in the divorce case, Mr Parnell deprecates the public subscribing his expenses. Captain O'Sbea is suing the Freeman's Journal for libel. In chambers the Judges declined to grant an application to compel ihe Times to disclose tbe source of the information on which was based the articles on {> Paruellism and Crime," Jan. 11. Tbe court of Queen's has ordered tho Times to disc'ose the circulation of the pamphlet published entitled " Parnellism and Crime," and the price paid to the author, The Times has appealed against the decision. Justice Kelly declined to receive a resolution of confidence in Mr Parnell from the Clare Grand Jury.
