STANLEY AND EMIN BEY.
Zanzibar, Dec. 3. Stanley arrived at Sua on Saturday and was met by Major Wissman’s lieutenant, who entertained him at a banquet. Responding to the toast of his health, Stanley eulogised German enterprise in East Africa. It appears that after the mutiny at Wadelai Emin Bey and Jephson were sentenced by the enraged mutineers to be hanged for making their escape in order to join Stanley. Luckily they were hot recaptured by the mutineers, who would probably have carried the sentence into effect if they could have laid hands on them. Emin Bey remains in the service of the Khedive. Both Stanley and Emin Bey are well, though much aged, Dec. 4. Stanley has arrived at Bagamay. The Emperor William of Germany sent him a cable message of welcome. Stanley discovered immense tracts of fertile and well-watered pasturage. He ascribes his escape from numberless dangers to special Providence.
