THE KAKAHU FOOTBRIDGE.
TO TUB EDITOR. Sib,—la your to-day's issue I notice that Mr W. L. Duncan, of Eakahu Bush, writes respecting a proposed bridge near the Sakahu School, quoting Cromwell’s advice to the Tory Parliament; “ Begone, and make room for honestermen.” If Mr Duncan thinks that it would be honest for either the New Zealand Government or any single individual to spend more money than they possess, or that the Geraldine Boad Board would be acting honestly to the ratepayers in spending their money in making bridges that are not actually necessary, and even if made would in a very short time be high and dry and left some distance away from the water, I don’t know the meaning of honesty,—l am, etc., Eatepatsb. January 17th.
