COURSING.
Notwithstanding the very wet day on Tuesday, a fair number of coursing men took advantage of Mr Wm. Postlethwaite's perm ; «sir;i to hold a meeting oe the Raukapuka est-1.. Tn ihe absence of Mr D. M. Ross, Mr biisco was unanimously elected judge, which role be filled to the'satisfaction of all. Mr Connolly, as usual at our local meetings, acted as slipper with his accustomed skill. The hares as a rule were very strong, giving every opportunity for the dogs to show their ability. Only three hares were killed, The apo't came to an end by three cheers baing given for the owner of the property, the judge, and the slipper, end it is to be hoped that better weather will favor the meet next month, when another day's tpoi't bun kindly beeu grunted.
