M. Kilden, of Whangarri, being allowed to practice law on condition of bis accepting a reduerd stipend was again discussed. Mr Kilden announced he would resign if the proposal was not accepted. It was considered inadvisable to cause Mr Kilden to leave the Church, but most of the speakers were adverse to the proposed combination of law and Gospel.
