GRAIN* SALE.
The New Zealand Loan end Mercantile Agency Gotnpan}', Limited,. report having offered at auction at their grain stores, Timaru, on Friday, a largo catalogue of wheat, oats, and barley. The sale was not well attended, consequently the hulk of the offering 'was withdrawn. Wheat—The wheat offered was particularly good, aid brought the following prices Velvet 3s 3|d to 3s sd. Barley Adi the best samples were withdrawn. A few parcels of feed brought from 2s 6d to 2s Bd. All the oats were passed in, not reaching vendors’ prices. AUSTRALIAN MARKETS.

The Melbourne Manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand (Limited) reports on the local markets as follows : Shipping wheat, 4s 4d per bushel, with rather a firm tendency. Malting barley is steady at 3»' fid to 4s 3d. ■ Nrtw Zealand feed oats are quiet at 2s lOd to 2s lid ; milling sorts are steady at 3s Id to 3s 3d ; New Zealand oats under bond, 2s 5d to 2s fid per bushel.
