ORARI BRIDGE SCHOOL.

The annual treat to the scholars at the Orari Bridge School, and the distribution of prizes, was held yesterday, the day was beautifully fine, and the teacher, Mr Westropp, assisted by members of the Committee, worked hard to make the day pass as pleasantly as possible for the children, and in flits they appeared to hayo been quite suc : cessful, judging by the interest the children were taking in the sports aqd games provided fop their aransetp-'n*, A first-class tea was given tq them about four o’clock, and after all had been satisfied, amusements were again re» sorted to. A capital tea was laid out in the schoolroom for the adults, and here Mrs and the Misses Westropp assisted by several friends, Wt-re assiduous in their attentions to those who sat down to the tables, Below are

given the programs of Bp' fis through by the children and the list of prizes awarded to them on the basis of

the Inspector’s examination. The prizes were a nice useful lot of books, and in addition to these special prizes were presented for each .standard by Mrs Westrop, Mrs Grant, Mrs Dunlop, Mrs Helena, and Mrs Waite.
