TINWALD LIVE STOCK MARKET. Mr E, G. Staveley (for the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited) reports on the Ashburton market of January 19th, as follows : At the Tinwald tale to-day 500 sheep were yarded. The sale wan quiet, the demand weak, and there was a small attendance, Fat mired cross* breds fetched 6s 6d to 7s 4d ; fat merino wethers, 4s 8d to ss, No stores were sold, There was an average entry of cattle, but little enquiry. Beef was worth 17s per IOOIbs. Fat cows, L 4 10s to L 5 10s; dairy cowb, to L 7 2s 6d. ______ RAN3IORA MARKETS. Messrs Matson, Buss and Co., report that the prices realised at the weekly sale on Tuesday, were as follows : Fat sheep, crossbreds, 6s yd to 8s ; hoggets, &s 6d to 6s. Fat cattle, L 4 to L 7 ; two-year-old steers, L 3 10s to L 4 7s 6d ; eighteen-month steers and heifers, from Ll 35s to L2 ss; yearlings, Ll 5s to Ll 13s ; calves, 15s to Ll ; milch cows, L 4 to L 7. Pigs, small stores, 3s to 6s ; stubblere, 15s to Ll, In the produce yards the prices were—Sheepskins, wooly crossbreds, 3s 6d j crossbred pelts, 6d to lOd ; merino do, 2d to 4d ; hides, 2_:d to 3£d per lb ; calfskins, Is to Is 6d ; fat Ofd to Id per lb ; fowls, 2s to 2s 3d per pjir: geese, 4s 6d.
