Auckland, Jan. 8. A.t the criminal sessions John Fisher, for uttering counterfeit coin, was sentenced to four months ; William Murray, for altering and uttering, six months; Arthur Dawson, for unlawfully wounding, six months ; jMward Lewis, for forgery, six months. Stephen Marsh, for unlaw fully wounding, was fined £5. In tho ease against Harry Johnston, alias Harry P. Glosser, who was acquitted for larceny and breaking into Cochrane's auction mart, Mr Justice Gillies said; “Harry Johnston, I don’t doubt but that you feel very much surprised that the jury have found you not guilty. You are discharged.” Dunedin, Jan. 8. At the Supreme Court, Ohas. Anderson and Henry Cracknell were found guilty of assaulting Alice Ledame, and were sentenced to three months. The Jury after a short retirement, acquitted Margaret Brown of the charge of murdering her mother. Jan. 9. Tracy and Roland, for robbing a Chinaman by means of the “confidence trick,” were sentenced to two years’ imprisonment each.
