INGLEWOOD NEWS

RECENT VICE-REGAL VISIT. A letter has been received by the Mayor of Inglewood, Mr. J. Gibbs, expressing appreciation of the arrangements made for the visit of Viscount and Lady Galway. Major Purvis writes:— “I am desired by the Governor-Gen-eral and Lady Galway to write to you without delay and to express their warm appreciation of the excellent arrangements which were made for their reception on the occasion of their first official visit to Inglewood. Their Excellencies are ( most grateful to Your Worship and to the town clerk and others concerned for all the trouble taken to make the visit a success. It was not only a great pleasure but also a distinct encouragement to Lord and Lady Galway to find so many people assembled to meet them and to note the warm-hearted welcome extended to them,”
