GAOL FOR PROBATION BREACHES. LABOURER’S CONVERSION OF CAR. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Dec. 23. Robert James Reardon, aged 20 years, a labourer, pleaded guilty to being intoxicated in charge of a motor-car valued at £4OO, the property of Ronald Edward Galvin, to conversion of the car and to breaking his probation. On the first two charges he was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment, each cumulative, and on the third he was convicted and discharged. It was stated that he was on two years’ probation for four offences of car conversion, and his behaviour had not been good.
