Mr. F. Loudon will leave on Boxing Day to visit Kaikohe. Mr. Claude Weston, K.C., Wellington, arrived at New Plymouth on Saturday to spend a month’s holiday in Taranaki. Mr. S. E. Nielson left New Plymouth on Saturday for Auckland on the way to Sydney. He expects to return to New Plymouth in about three weeks. Sergeant S. G. Clist, who has been on annual leave, returned to New Plymouth on Saturday after a motoring tour to Hastings, Gisborne, Tauranga and Auckland. Dr. Rex Brewster has returned to New Plymouth after several months -at Pembroke. He will stay at New Plymouth only about a month before he goes back to Pembroke. Mr. H. F. Fookes left New Plymouth on Friday night for Auckland, where he will join the New Zealand University Rugby football team to visit Japan.
