BIG PROPERTY DEAL
BLOCK IN BROUGHAM STREET. MR. W. D. GRAHAM’S PURCHASE. A fairly large deal in property in the business area of New Plymouth was completed yesterday when the block owned by the estate of the late W. J. Shaw in Brougham Street was purchased by Mr. W. D. Graham. This block comprises that portion immediately adjoining the back of Hannah’s and extending 70 feet up Brougham Street and backing on to the Criterion Hotel property. On the site are two two-storeyed wooden buildings in which are at present Messrs. E. Jackson and Son, the AngloContinental Produce Company, Mr. L. M. Monteath, accountant, and Messrs. Billing and Little, solicitors. The building adoining Hannah’s is one of the oldest buildings in the business area.
