Miss A. Hilles, Wellington, visited her mother’ recently. Mrs. H. Dalton and Miss K. Brown were among the visitors at the Waverley races. Mrs. A. M. Mac Diarmid motored to Wellington during the week-end to meet her daughter, Miss L. Mac Diarmid, who has spent some time in England. Misses K. Brown, I. Mourie, N. Christie, B. Burke, E. Duggan, K. Nicolson and E. Hodgson were visitors to New Plymouth during the week-end. Miss C. Rothery, New Plymouth, spent the Labour Day week-end at Manaia with her mother, Mrs. ,D. Rothery. TIKORANGI PERSONAL ITEMS. AFTERNOON FOR MISS D. PAULGER Mrs. B. Foreman and Miss I. Foreman, Tikorangi, were hostesses at a linen afternoon on Wednesday for Miss Dorothy Paulger, whose marriage will take place shortly. Two competitions were held, the winners being Mrs. H. Alexander and’ Miss J. Paulger. After tea was served the hostesses asked Miss Paulger to open the gifts. Miss G. Jury has returned to Tikorangi after spending several days at Uruti.
