PURANGI DISTRICT NEWS
PERSONAL AND GENERAL ITEMS. The Rev. Mr. Raine held an Anglican Church service at Purangi on Sunday. At the annual meeting of the Purangi women’s church committee Mrs. J. S. Fletcher was elected president and Mrs. A. J. Webb secretary. The school roll has dropped considerably during the past fortnight owing to. sickness among the children. Mr. A. J. Webb, who has been in the New Plymouth Hospital, returned home on Monday. Mrs. J. S. Fletcher was a visitor to Stratford during the week-end to attend the S. Mary’s school old girls’ re-union and 21st anniversary celebrations.
