In this issue the Unemployment Board announces that the next instalment of the General Unemployment Levy will become due on November 1, and that on the same date the third instalment of the Emergency Unemployment Charge of 8a in the £ on income other than salary or wages will also become due. Taxpayers who paid in advance the full year's tax at the old rate of 10d in the £ will receive before May 1 next written notification regarding the adjustment of any amount overpaid.*
