Mr. R. G. Casey, assistant general manager of railways, is visiting New Plymouth.
Sympathy with Mr. George Moverley, who met with an accident and is in the New. Plymouth hospital, was expressed at a meeting of the New Plymouth branch of the Red Cross Society last night. Members of the Westown Progressive Association at the annual meeting last night made sympathetic reference to the death of Mr. R. O. Ellis, who Was one of the original members of the association. The meeting passed a vote of sympathy with Mrs. Ellis and family in their bereavement.
Mr. R. Twysden Forbes, exploitation manager for New Zealand of the Columbia Picture Proprietary, is visiting New Plymouth. He is an old boy of the New Plymouth High School, where he was a boarder from 1913 to 1918, but has not visited New Plymouth for 15 years.
