TENNIS CLUB’S DANCE
PUKEARUHE DISTRICT NEWS. The White Cliffs Tennis Club’s annual dance on Monday was a success, visitors being present from Inglewood, Tikorangi, Uruti, Urenui and Okoke. Music was played by Rowe's orchestra, with an extra by Miss Lambert and Mr. H. Martin. Messrs. L. Kemp and A. Rooke were \ masters of ceremonies. Novelty dances were won by Mrs. L. Herbert and Mr. P. Dowman and Miss Fleming and Mr. M. Rogers. Messrs. K. Phillips and J. Luxton were responsible for the decorations which were in the club’s colours of blue and white, with addition of flowers and greenery. The Rev. Mr. Phillips has been the guest of Mrs. C. Rowe for several days. Mr. E. Maxted has returned after week at Whakatane. Mr. L. Baker, Whakatane, is visiting his mother. . Mrs. J. Johnson visited Wanganui at the week-end. Miss Ponsford spent a few days as the guest of Miss H. Phillips. Miss Margaret Dowman was the guest of Miss B. Luxton for the tennis dance. Miss H. Phillips and Miss Ponsfoitf motored Jo Stratford for the week-end,,
