AUROA PLUNKET WORK
MEETING OF SOCIETY HELD. A meeting of the Auroa Plunket Society was held at Auroa on Friday afternoon. Mrs. L. M. Fairbrother presided and also present were Mesdames F. Schwieters, W. B. Brown, J. Caldwell, J. Everitt, A. C. Langlands (Auroa), S. Farquhar senr., S. Farquhar junr. and M. F. Kedgley (Awatuna). Nurse Thom reported that on the whole the health of the babies had been fairly satisfactory Attendances decreased but several days had been very stormy. Thanks were due to the committee for the energetic methods they used in trying to raise funds towards-the purchase and upkeep of the car. This district was working wholeheartedly in the matter.. A vote of sympathy was passed with Mrs. Laing, Opunake, in her recent accident. ’ Subscriptions were received from Mesdames M. F. Kedgley, T. Hooper, L. M. Fairbrother and H. Hartley. It was unanimously decided to take no action with regard to the fixing o boundaries for the Auroa, Manaia and Kaponga Plunket areas.
