BIRTHDAY CELEBRATED
Mr. and Mrs. G. Jordan, Junction Road, New Plymouth, celebrated on October 19 the 21st birthday of their daughter, Miss Rita Jordan. The guests present included Mrs. Salisbury (Kaimata), Mrs. W. Benafield (Stratford), Miss Ruby Jordan (Eltham), Mrs. A. Bray, Mrs. J. James, Mrs. R. Jordan, Mrs. A. Stewart, Mrs. R. M. Swan, Mrs. Staples, Miss Molly Staples, Miss Mary Staples and Mrs. S. Grieves (New Plymouth). All the guests joined in games, cards and community singing. Euchre resulted in Mrs. /R. M. Swan, Frankleigh Park, and Master K. Staples winning the first prizes. Mrs. H. Salisbury won a consolation prize.
