At the Leichhardt Stadium in a “fight to the finish bout” wrestled without rounds, Lurich; after securing the first fall, was severely back-slammed by George Pencheff, who won the match through Lurich being unable to continue. WALKER BEATS MAHOMET. POOR BOUT AT AUCKLAND. . By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. In a professional heavyweight wrestling contest at the town hall George Walker, who was making his first appearance at Auckland this season, defeated Fezul Mahomet, the latter being unable to continue after a back loop slam in the . fourth round. Mahomet secured a fall in the third round after dumping Walker. Tire bout was not a good one, both contestants being very slow in their movements.
