NORDON CUP HOCKEY
HASTINGS DEFENDS TROPHY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Hastings, Sept. 6. The Hastings hockey representatives had a close call yesterday against Dannevirke in defence of the Nordon Cup, the holders winning by 3 goals to 2. Although Hastings had the territorial advantage in the second spell, 10 minutes before the end Dannevirke goaled and led by 2 to 1. Five minutes before the end Hastings scored, and on time goaled again. The scorers for Hastings ■ were McNab, McKay and Kirkman, and for Dannevirke Smith and Mcrrylees.
