WILL NEVER RETIRE
DECISION OF LIONEL BARRYMORE. Most of Hollywood’s stars and featured players are planning for the day when they will be through with pictures and can settle down to a life of ease. But Lionel Barrymore, now working on “The Return of Peter Grimm” at RKO Radio Studios, has no such notion. Barrymore, in fact, is determined never to retire and intends to keep right on making pictures. . “Retire,” said the star. “Not I. I am going to act as long as I can read a line. If I were to be thrown out of pictures to-morrow I would get back somehow, even if I had to use an assumed name. Pictures are my life and I see no reason ever to quit them.”
