KAIMATA DISTRICT NEWS

WOMEN’S INSTITUTE SOCIAL. The Kaimata Women’s Institute held a very successful five-hundred party and ping-pong tournament on Tuesday. The winning table at cards comprised Mr. D. Bracegirdle, Mr. L. Birkett and Mr. and Mrs. J. Potrotz. The travelling flag was won by Mrs. J. Potrotz. The ping pong was won by Mr. D. Dobson and Miss R. Dobson. A competition for a cake was won by Mr. F. Orr. Mr. A. Paterson, Te Kuiti, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. I’. Burkhart, Junction Road.

Mrs. Wood, who lias been spending a few days with Mrs. Hunt, Mangaone Road, has returned to Inglewood. Miss M. K. Hewes, z who has been staying with Mrs. P. Burkhart, Junction Road, has left for New Plymouth.
