Symcony, having his first run in Australia, displayed great pace in the Flying Handicap, leading for five furlongs, after which his condition gave out. Tea Fight and King of Diamonds were unplaced in the Mascot Welter Mile, and Cockpen was unplaced in the Ascot Handicap.
