GERMAN CATHOLICS’ ATTACK. CONQUERED AN OLDER FORM. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Berlin, Sept. 1. A pastoral letter, drafted by the Bishops’ Conference at Fulda, was read from all Catholic pulpits, calling on the faithful to renew resistance against the new paganism, and declaring that the Concordat has been violated by members of Catholic orders illegally arrested. The letter condemned Nazi insistence on racially pure marriages, and also the heathen principle which defends illegitimate births, and counselled parents to send their children to such organisations as 1-espect religion and moral purity. Tlie letter concluded: “Our Church conquered the old paganism and will not be conquered by tlie new.” •
