EXPLOSION IN GAOL
BOMB THROWN AT A WARDER. SENS Al. DN IN HOBART PRISON. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Hobart, Sept 2. A gelignite bomb thrown from an upstairs cell exploded two yards behind Warder Pardoe and tore a hole in the asphalted exercise yard of the goal. Warder Pardoe, who is a special search officer, was not hurt. The bomb was crudely constructed and it is believed that a deliberate attempt was made on Warder Pardoe’s life.
