WEDDING
JENKINS—PENHALL. The marriage took place at the Eltham Salvation Army Hall last Thursday of Alice, third laughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Penhall, Eltham, to Harold, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Jenkins, Te Aroha, formerly of Eltham. "’he ceremony was performed by Captain A. Penhall, , brother of the bride. The hall was artistically decorated and was well filled with friends when the bride entered escorted by her father. Mrs. J. Chamberlain played the wedding music. The bride and her attendants, Miss Grace Penhall and Cadet Elsie Dillard, were each attired in navy blue Army dress and wore the customary white sash. Each carried a bouquet of spring flowers, The bridegroom was supported by Mr. Dennis Fair brother (Masterton), and Mr. Clarence Jenkins (Te Aro„a), at the conclusion Mr. 2.’ Lynch sang ‘*o Rest in the Lord.” A large number < f guests were entertamed in the Frontiersmen’s rooms and in the course of the usual toasts many tributes were paid the excellent character and service of ti bride and bridegroom, who are active members of the Eltham Salvation Army corps. The good wishes of membe -or future happiness were conveyed to Mr, and Mrs. Jenkins, who left for a short trip before takingup residence at Eltham.
