INCREASE IN STAKES. ' CANTERBURY CLUB’S DECISION. Christchurch, Last Night. The Canterbury Jockey Club to-day decided on a further increase of stakes for its meeting on November 8, 11, 13 and 16. The stakes for the November carnival this year Fave grown to £11,025, an advance of £9OO on last year’s programme, and £2025 on that of 1933. Not only in stake money has the programme been improved, for two new races have been added. On the second and third days of previous meetings the events numbered seven, but in future there will be a full card of eight races.
