RETURN TO PRISON
THEFTS BY SHIP’S STEWARD. EIGHT CHARGES ADMITTED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Sept 3. Frederick Rex McKean Webster, aged 27, a ship’s steward, discharged last December after serving 18 months for theft and receiving, to-day pleaded guilty to eight charges of stealing clothing and other articles from hotels to the value of'£32 13s. He was ’ sentenced-to two years’ reformative detention on the first charge and was ordered to corrie up for sentence on the others if called within two years.
