MAN-POWER FLIGHT
PILOT PEDALS FOR 250 YARDS. • NEW AVIATION DEPARTURE. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Berlin* Aug; 30. Attempting to \ win a prize of. £4OO for an unbroken man-power flight of 650 yards, Herr Duennbel yesterday Covered 210 yards at Frankfortmain. To-day he covered 250 yards at a height of three feet, using a glider fitted with a propeller driven by a pilot pedalling. During a third flight the machine was damaged. All of the flights were made Under the official control of the Air Ministry. The flights are believed to be the first ever made with man-power.
