RAINFALL AT INGLEWOOD
WETTEST AUGUST EXPERIENCED. During August the rainfall at Inglewood totalled 13.62 inches, rain falling on 17 days and the heaviest fall being 2.98 inches on August 4. There were three other falls of more than an inch. This was the wettest August at Inglewood since the rainfall there has been recorded. In the corresponding month of last year 8.72 inches fell on 19 days, with one fall of over an inch. The driest August at Inglewood was in 1918, when 4.61 inches were recorded. The average fall at Inglewood for August is 7.93 inches. Jersey Club. A meeting of the Inglewood Jersey Club was held on Saturday _ night, when there were present Messrs. J. Klenner (chairman), J. Browning, E. J. Clough, J. Young, H. RumbaU, Cameron and Newland. Arrangements for the bull.sale at Newton King's yards were completed. It was decided to hold a general meeting of the club on September 7 to determine by ballot the places in the catalogue.
