ELECTION OF OFFICERS. N.G. Bro. J. Carbis presided over a good attendance at tire last fortnightly meeting o the Oddfellows’ Lodge. The following officers were elected: N.G., Bro. N. Hudson; V.G., Bro. 1 R. Gwyn; elective secretary, Bro. L. A. Brewer; warden, Bro. I. Alty; R.S.N.G., Bro. D. Lind; L.S.N.G., Bro. R. Smith; R.S.V.G., Bro. C. Schicker; L.S.N.G., Sister S. Bertie; L.M., Bro. E. W. Snowdon. The officers were installed by the L.M. Bro. Snowdon and were accorded lodge honours. Personal Items. Mr. V. C. Tisdall, of the Bank of New South Wales, is spending his holidays at Tongariro National Park. Mrs. Bertie and her mother, . Mrs. Symes, are paying a holiday visit to Matamata. Mr. C. L. Roberts, of the Kaponga staff of the Bank of New Zealand, is relieving at the Waitara branch. Mrs. J. W. H. Gardner has returned from a visit to Wanganui and Palmerston North. Miss Shiela Wilson has returned to Inglewood after being the guest of Mrs. C. A. Corder. PERSONAL ITEMS. Mr. R. Clements, branch manager at Taungatara, has been appointed general manager of the Awatuna Dairy Company in succession to Mr. J. Flavin. Condolence with Mr. J. B. Murdoch, chairman of directors for many years, and Mr. J. E. Meuli, also an old member of the directorate, was expressed at the annual meeting of the Joll Dairy Company yesterday in connection with bereavements both had suffered during the year. The death occurred in the Patea hospital on Tuesday of Mrs. Ivo Southcombe, Waverley. She leaves a husband and two small children. GENERAL ITEMS, Kaponga Croquet Chib Card Party The fortnightly flag five, hundred evening organised by the Kaponga Croquet Club was held at the home of Mrs. Bennie on Tuesday. Visitors were present from other clubs and the prizes werfe won by Mesdames Peacock, Gubb, Egarr and Gower (Eltham). ADVERTISERS’ ANNOUNCEMENTS.
