WIN FOR McCREADY

TWO FALLS AGAINST HOPKINS. GOOD WRESTLING AT BLENHEIM. By Telegraph—Press Association. Blenheim, Last Night. McCready beat Hopkins by two falls before a good house last night. Hopkins had a body scissors on his opponent in the fifth round, but when McCready got to his feet he back-slammed the Englishman, who was knocked out. Hopkins was easily pinned for the deciding fall at the opening of the sixth round.

The bout was characterised by good though not spectacular wrestling. McCready was content to let Hopkins do most of the work. The Englishman was well ahead on points when the match ended.
