NORTH ENGLAND SALES DOUBLW. MR. H. E. DAVIS AT WELLINGTON. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The manager, of the New Zealand Dairy Board at London, Mr. H. ■E. Davis, with Mrs. Davis arrived at Wellington by the Maunganui to-night. Mr. Davis has been with the board at London, for 8J years and he is visiting New Zealand to meet the reconstituted board. . Interviewed on his arrival, Mr. Davis said he had proposals to put to the board regarding the marketing of dairy produce in. England. During his journey out he had unofficial talks with the Hon. J. G. Coates regarding dairy produce. . Sales of New Zealand butter, in the north of England and'iin Scotland, which were strongholds for Scandinavian Pto,duce, had increased in the last few years, by 100 per cejnt., said Mr. Davis, but the board had still a great deal to do to overcome the extraordinary conservatism of the peOple there.
