The Canterbury Jockey Club’s Grand National meeting concluded to-day in fine weather after showers overnight. The:track was on the soft side and the attendance good. Epris and Sunee were , still the leaders entering the straight but Osculate went to the front when the course proper was reached, with Epris, Sunee, Gay Crest, Kemal Pasha and Arctic King next Arctic King drew out in the run home to win by three-quar-ters of a length from Osculate, with Kemal Pasha half a length away third, and Korero fourth. Billy Boy took charge after jumping the kennels double and was followed past the stands by Free Air, Umtali and Pahu. Billy Boy was three lengths clear of Free Air after Cutts’ and was still clear of Free Air and I mtali at the kennels double the second time, where Pahu refused to jump. Free Air joined Billy Boy in the lead at the top brush anl was first over the last fence, and stayed on to beat Umtali by a neck, with Biljy Boy four lengths away. Time, 6m. Ils. REDCLYFFS HANDICAP.
