LEAGUE CYCLE DANCE
LARGE NUMBER ATTENDS. In spite of the many counter-attrac-tions and the threatening weather, the New Plymouth Cycle and Athletic League’s dance at the Agricultural Hall on Saturday night proved as popular as ever, the floor being crowded with nearly 500 dancers including many of the visiting South Auckland and Ponsonby League footballers. The well arranged programme again met with general appreciation and the policy of the short intervals proved popular. The Monte Carlo dances were won by Miss Hunt and Mr. Nichol (waltz) and Miss Penwarden and Mr. Martin (foxtrot). Vinsen’s orchestra provided the music, while the masters of ceremonies were Messrs.; M. Sole and W. Woods.
