NORMANBY ANGLICANS
EUCHRE PARTY AND DANCE HELD. Tlie last of a series of euchre parties to raise funds for the Normanby Anglican church was held in St. Paul’s hall on Tuesday night when 11 tables were engaged. Mr. W. J. Taylor was in charge. The prizes were won by; Mrs. G. Swan 1, Miss Blackburn 2, Mrs. T. Evans consolation; Mr. G. Coxhead 1, Mr. J. Rowe 2, Mr. A. Duggan consolation. The points prizes for the series were presented to Mrs. Davey and Mr. J. Rowe. Supper was dispensed by Mesdames T. Evans, Coxhead and A. E. Hurliman, after which an enjoyable impromptu dance was. held. Miss J. Walden played the music and Mr. Taylor was master of ceremonies. At a meeting of parishioners of St. Paul’s church presided over by the vicar, the Rev. Canon D. B. Malcome, the secretary, Mrs. Davey, tendered her resignation and Mr. T. Evans was appointed in her place. Mr. H. Coxhead was appointed to act as treasurer. The chairman, Mr, W. J. Taylor, and the committee were all reappointed.
