LICENSE FOR A. J. STOCKLEY. TRANSPORT AUTHORITY SITS. Decisions regarding the applications of Mr. A. J. Stockley, Kiore, and Mrs. K. G. Stockley, Wanganui, for a new goods service license and renewal of a license respectively, which were heard before the No. 5 District Licensing Authority at Stratford on Tuesday, were delivered by the authority yesterday. Mr. Stockly was granted a continuous goods service license for two vehicles, to operate in the Taranaki district for the cartage of metal, earth and other materials for the Public Works Department The license of Mrs. Stockley was refused. He was not satisfied that the applicant could comply with the terms of her license and could carry on with the business satisfactorily, said Mr. Thomson. In connection with the passenger license of Mr. W. Rolston, whose application for a sei-vice operating between Ohakune and Ohakune Junction had been dealt rfith. by the authority at Raetihi, it was announced that following correspondence received from the Ohakune Borough Council complaining of the unsuitability of Rolston’s timetable as fixed by the authority, the further consideration of the case would be adjourned sine die. A further hearing would be held at Ohakune, stated Mr. Thomson, chairman. Correspondence was also received from Rolston supporting the borough council’s letter.
