RANGATIRA FERRY OFFICER. MAN RESCUED IN HARBOUR. By Telegraph-Press Association. Wellington, Aug. 15. Mr. Richard Clancy, of the ferry steamer Rangatira, was presented with a framed certificate of the Royal Humane Society for the rescue of a seaman who fell into the harbour while painting the ship on March 4. The ceremony took place in the dining saloon, the Rangatira’s master presenting the certificate and Mr. P. E. Coira, the representative at Wellington of the society, extending congratulations.
