NEW PLYMOUTH MAN’S GOOD TIME MANAWATU CHAMPIONSHIP WIN. The annual classic cycling events conducted by the Feilding Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club took place under very adverse weather conditions, on Wednesday. To decide the winner of the Manawatu time trial unpaced championship a class field of 19 competitors faced the starter. . ;/ Each rider rode at 2-minute intervals and C. ■ Hawkins, New Plymouth, recorded the best performance, winning the championship cup and blue ribbon, which is now pn show in one of the local cycle dealer’s windows. The four best times recorded were:— C. Hawkins (N.P.), Ih. 15m. 545. Stackett (Wellington), Ih. 16m. 525. Beggs (Wellington), Ih, 16m. 58s. Cocker (Feilding), Ih. 17m. 58s.
