Billeting New Zealanders.
Considerable difficulty is being experienced at Sydney in finding billets for the six members of the New Zealand cross-country team to compete at the Australian cross-country championship on August 17. By July 23 only tw’b offers to accommodate members of the New Zealand team had been received by the New’ South Wales Athletic Association, and it has been decided by that association to notify the New’ Zealanders that nothing can be done about accommodating them if more offers had net been received by Wednesday, July 24, It is the viewpoint of the New South Wales body that the New Zealanders have invited themselves, and that if undue trouble would result in accommodating them they must provide for themselves.
