NOTED BOXING TWINS
GORDON BROTHERS, OF PATEA. FINE BLENHEIM EXHIBITIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Blenheim, Last Night. Crossing Cook Strait by air, Taranaki’s noted boxing twins, C. and V. Gordon (Patea), appeared in an amateur tournament under the auspices of the Marlborough Association. It was a case of past and present Australasian feather champions meeting when C. Gordon, the present champion, beat W. Hawes on points over six rounds. The winner gave a delightful exhibition of graceful boxing. V. Gordon lost on points to A. Fleming, a hard-punching southpaw.
