SEQUEL TO AIR CRASH
WITHDRAWAL OF MACHINES. NEW FEED SYSTEMS INSTALLED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, July 18. The Daily Telegraph’s Amsterdam correspondent says that as a result of the crash of the huge Fokker 22 plane at the Amsterdam airport on July 14, six persons being killed, this type of machine has been withdrawn temporarily from the KLM service to have a new foolproof petrol feed system installed. Questions were asked in the Dutch Parliament whether the KLM was working its pilots too hard and whether this had contributed to the recent crashes.
