JURY BLAMES MOTORIST IN ACCIDENT CASE
TVHILE trying to retrieve his hat, * vr which had been blown off, John Workman, 54, a commercial traveller, of Brixton Hill, Brixton, London, was killed by a car. At the inquest at Camberwell, the Jury returned a verdict that his death was due to Frank Hall, a salesman, of Regency Street, Westminster, driving without due care and reasonable consideration. The coroner (Mr Douglas Cowbum) directed that the proceedings be brought to the notice of the Commissioner of Police. The coroner, summing up, said: “There are prudent and experienced motorists, but it is these young fellows of immature age who get hold ©f a new car and are thrilled with the excitement and exhilaration of it, who go all out. The only rule for safe driving is never to exceed a speed at which one can pull up jvithin fee limits of danger,”
