GENERAL AND' PERSONAL ITEMS. There was a good attendance at the euchre party and dance in the Pukearuhe hall on Wednesday, evening. . The prize-winners were Miss, Adlam (Motonui) 1, Mrs. Sulzberger (after a play-off with Mrs. White and Mrs.- Drozdowski) Mr. J. Drozdowski 1, Mr. N. Jury 2. Mr. N. Edwin played the dance music, with an. extra by Miss O. Lambert, Mr. H. Martin was master of ceremonies. A competition for a dressed turkey given by Mrs. R. Luxton was won by Mr. K. Heslop. The ReV. Mr. Phillips, vicar in charge of the Uruti parish, was the guest of Messrs. Martin Bros, for the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. A. Rowe have returned from their holiday. Mrs. C. Smith has returned from South Taranaki. Miss L. Wells is visiting Mangorei as the guest of Miss Harrison. Miss Freeth has returned from Wanganui. Mr. and Mrs. R. Maxted, who have been the guests of Mr. E. Maxted for a week, have returned to Otorohanga. Mr. and Mrs. N. Shogren have returned from their holiday. Mr. R. Weeden motored to Wellington on Monday to attend the Farmers’ Union conference. He was accompanied by Messrs. W. Freeth and R. Luxton. Mrs. L.. Herbert has returned from a few days spent with her mother at Korito. \ ' Mrs. R. Pigott is the guest of Miss Freeth. Mr. K. Heslop is the-guest of Martin Bros.
