Mrs. C. BrOwn left on Wednesday to take up residence at Auckland. Miss Joyce Turner who has been visiting her mother, Mrs. W..Turner, has re-, turned to Auckland.
Mrs. Lyons, Hawera, is visiting her sister, Mrs. Smart.
Mrs. Bell, who has been the-guest of Mrs. Fuller, has returned to Napier. A bring and buy social afternoon in aid of the funds of the Presbyterian Church was held in St. John’s hall on Wednesday. Items were given by Mesdames Anderson (pianoforte solo), Gillespie and Carr (vocal solos) and Miss Gaustad, Urenui (elocutionary 1. Novel competitions were won by Mesdames Carr and Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. J. Cole entertained at a dance in the Motonui hall on Wednesday after the wedding of their daughter, Marjorie.
