A very pleasant flag five hundred evening'was held in the Westown Golf Club’s pavilion on Wednesday evening. The winning table comprised Miss K. Towler, Mrs. Newton Sole and Messrs. N. Sole and Frost. The travelling flag was won by Mr. Galbraith. Mrs. H. W. Whitcombe left on Wednesday for several weeks’ visit to Auckland. Mrs. F. S. Johns was hostess at an afternoon party yesterday. Mrs. O. Samuel, who has been visiting New Plymouth for several weeks, has returned to Rotorua. Mrs. J.
